Today was the first day Riley and I were home by ourselves. We took full advantage of the situation by sleeping until 11. Well, Riley slept all day but I got up at 11 and took a shower and made myself presentable for any unexpected guests. It was a quiet day full of feedings, diaper changes and lots of cuddles. Thus far, we managed to only wear one outfit today which is a vast improvement. (There was one day where we went through every outfit she fit in.) We spent about 2 hours on the couch while she slept on my chest. I think that was my favorite part of the entire day. We tried out her new bottle warmer, which works perfectly, and visited with a friend from my sunday school class. I think I bombarded her with new mommy questions but it was fun visiting and having a conversation with someone that I didn't raise the pitch of my voice 5 octaves. All in all it was a great day with lots of rest which was greatly needed.
Your blog is so cute! I'm glad you had such a great first day at home alone with little Miss Riley. Sitting on the couch with my baby sleeping on my chest is my favorite past time too;)
